UPDATE: 2019 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift: What to expect from each variant

The refreshed Maruti Suzuki Baleno is yet to hit showrooms but details of the new model have been trickling in. Recently, we told you about the changes to expect in the updated car, and, today, snippets of the Baleno facelift’s brochure have surfaced on the internet, confirming our story from yesterday.

First up, the updated Baleno will get an all-new front bumper design with a larger air dam and vertical placement for the fog lamp housings. The grille is also new with a layered design that looks more attractive. In addition to this, the premium hatchback gets LED projector headlamps instead of the HID units on the current model. Sources tell us that Maruti will offer them as standard from Delta variant onwards. The rear tail-lamp and bumpers are expected to get a slight nip and tuck too.

On the inside, the refreshed Baleno is fitted with more equipment like the latest-gen SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that made its debut on the Wagon R. It also gets a new colour option for its upholstery and door pads, along with slight changes to the trim on the dashboard and AC controls. Maruti had earlier confirmed that all variants of the Baleno facelift will come with rear parking sensors, speed warning and passenger seatbelt warning as standard.

Under the hood, the Baleno facelift will be sold with the same 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel engine options. There will be no diesel-AMT, just like the pre-facelift model.

Along with the Baleno, Maruti Suzuki will also update the Baleno RS, giving it slightly tweaked all-black interiors and new alloy wheel design. The RS will continue to be sold with a 1.0-litre petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki has already started accepting bookings for the refreshed Baleno, with the booking amount set at Rs 11,000.
