The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has a distinct identity in the modern roadster segment. It shares some design elements with Royal Enfield’s larger motorcycles, including the round LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank and clean tail section. The blacked-out engine and stubby exhaust add to its sporty look. The motorcycle also features wide tyres, which give it a strong road presence.

One of the Guerrilla 450’s strengths is its accessibility. With a 780mm seat height, it is easy for a wide range of riders to get comfortable. The riding position is upright and natural, with a well-placed handlebar that offers a good connection to the motorcycle. Even taller riders should find it comfortable for the first few hours of riding, although the slightly raised footpegs may cause some knee soreness over longer durations.

The Guerrilla 450 is powered by a 452cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 40hp and 40Nm. The engine feels strongest above 3,000rpm and delivers strong acceleration through the mid-range. It is happy to rev towards the redline, which adds to the bike’s fun character. The performance feels lively, making it suitable for both city riding and highway use. Some vibrations are present at different speeds, but the engine has enough performance for touring as well. The 11-litre fuel tank, however, may require frequent fuel stops on longer rides.

The Guerrilla 450 handling feels neutral, predictable and confidence-inspiring. The motorcycle leans willingly into corners and offers good grip from its tyres. Braking performance is more than sufficient, with dual-channel ABS provided as standard. The suspension setup feels composed, although the rear shock may be slightly firm.

Higher variants get a TFT display with smartphone-based navigation, while a USB charging port is also included. The bike does not offer features such as traction control or a quickshifter. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.

The Guerrilla 450 is an appealing modern roadster. It is fun to ride, easy to approach and offers a strong mix of performance and handling. While it does not redefine the segment, it has already proven to be a motorcycle worth considering for anyone looking for a modern roadster.
