The Honda Dio uses drum brakes at both ends and does not offer ABS. Its side-stand engine cut-off switches off the engine when the side stand is engaged.

Both variants share a 109.51cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 7.75hp and 9.03Nm, paired with an automatic transmission. The DLX gets a colour TFT instrument display and LED headlamp, while the STD uses a simpler display and halogen headlamp. The DLX also has a standard USB Type-C charging port, whereas the STD's charging accessory is optional. Kerb weight is 106kg and seat height is 765mm.

The Dio 110 uses a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel, with tubeless tyres. Its telescopic front suspension and unit-swing rear suspension are designed for everyday roads, while the 5.3-litre fuel tank and idling stop system support daily commuting.

I’m 5'4" tall and an extremely skinny person. I want to replace my 2015 Honda Dio with something more powerful and fun to ride. My daily office commute is around 20 km, with occasional short weekend rides. I really like the Ather 450 series, but it’s a bit of a stretch for me due to the battery warranty and Pro Pack cost. I also liked the new Ntorq 150. Is it worth spending extra for the Ather in my case? Should I consider any other scooters?

Considering that you come from a Honda Dio and are looking at sporty scooter options, we'll recommend only those that fit within this box. The Ather 450X is a superb offering, even all these years later, and if you do want an Ather 450 but can't quite digest the 450X's high price, it's worth taking a look at the Ather 450S because it packs in very similar performance, features, and range at a significantly lower price. That's about the only sporty electric scooter we would recommend currently.In the petrol scooter space, the TVS Ntorq 150 is a great option that is also well-priced. Another option you could also consider is the Aprilia SR 175, which is a more focused sporty scooter but is less practical and also has a rather limited dealer reach, so do bear that in mind.
