Hero MotoCorp Splendor+ specifications

Hero has never fitted a front disc brake to any Splendor+ variant, across any generation of this motorcycle, a deliberate trade-off rather than an oversight. By retaining drum brakes at both ends across every model, from entry trim to top-spec trim, Hero keeps the Splendor+'s price down. No variant gets ABS either.
 

Underpinning this braking setup is a tubular double-cradle frame. The Hero MotoCorp Splendor+ is powered by a single 97.2cc engine producing 7.91bhp, paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox and a wet multiplate clutch. Kerb weight stands at 112kg with a seat height of 785mm, though Autocar India's FAQ notes that fast-moving multi-axle trucks can unsettle this light chassis on highways, given the top speed of 87kph.
 

Instrumentation is handled by twin-pod analogue dials, and tubeless tyres are standard across the range. Annual upkeep runs roughly Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 4,000 per year.
