Hero has just revealed that there will be two variants of the upcoming Xpulse. While we are familiar with the standard Xpulse, the company has just unveiled a new variant called the 200T. The 200T is more suited towards touring, unlike the standard bike that’s built for off-road riding.

The Xpulse 200T has a different stance, thanks to the 30mm lower ground clearance, and different seat and handlebar. It also rides on more road-focused 17-inch wheels at both ends, while the Xpulse 200 gets a 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. According to Hero, “The XPulse 200T is a ‘Tourer’ that offers customers modern technology in retro styling. Built to inspire touring, the XPulse 200T offers easy and comfortable riding position, thanks to its focus on ergonomics, and loading capability with its large luggage plate.”

Like the Xpulse 200, the 200T features single-channel ABS, LED lighting, a digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The 200T also comes with a unique flyscreen and MRF Revz tyres. Hero also showcased four custom motorcycles based on the 200T platform – a Café Racer Concept, a Desert Concept, a Scrambler Concept and a Flat-Track Concept; they point in the direction the brand could be headed towards.

During the unveiling of the new XPulse 200T, Malo Le Masson, head of global product planning, Hero MotoCorp, said “The Adventure and Touring motorcycle segments are very popular across the world and here we are showcasing Hero’s vision for these segments with the XPulse 200T based on our unique XPulse platform. We aim to further expand this platform and add more products to our portfolio by the second quarter of the next year. Concurrently, we have used the new XPulse 200T for a unique initiative of co-creating diverse concepts with customisation specialists, and showcased engineering prowess in developing a versatile platform. This also provides us an opportunity to capture the growing trend of direct customer engagement while opening the door to a new line of businesses.
