Design drawings of the Zero Lompico, an upcoming electric motorcycle from California-based Zero Motorcycles, have surfaced online, offering the clearest look yet at the bike ahead of its official reveal. The drawings also indicate that the Lompico shares its core mechanical package with the Hero Vida VxZ concept that was first unveiled at EICMA 2025 before being patented in India.

The two motorcycles take very different styling approaches despite sharing the same platform
The newly surfaced design drawings reveal that the mechanical package is largely shared between the two motorcycles. The frame, motor, battery pack, suspension, brakes and wheels all appear to be common to both the Zero and Hero models. Power is believed to come from the same Z-Force 75-5 motor used in the existing Zero FX, producing 30kW (40hp). The unit is expected to be paired with a new 8.8kWh battery pack housed within a steel tubular frame.
Despite the shared underpinnings, the two motorcycles look markedly different. The Vida VxZ adopts a relatively conventional roadster-like design, while the Lompico appears to have a much more distinctive visual identity. The front end features sharp bodywork and a headlight housed within what looks like winglet-inspired panels, giving the bike a more futuristic appearance. That design language continues toward the rear, where the tank section appears slimmer and more angular than the design in Hero’s patent filings.
We first reported on the Vida VxZ when it was unveiled at EICMA 2025, where Hero described it as a collaborative project with Zero Motorcycles but revealed very few technical details. Since then, Hero has filed design patents for the motorcycle in India, suggesting a domestic launch is likely being considered. Reports also suggest that the Lompico name may not make it to production. Recent trademark filings indicate that Zero could market the motorcycle under the ‘SF’ name instead. It could be a similar story with the Vida VxZ. Given that the name likely stands for ‘Vida x Zero’ and references the collaboration between the two manufacturers, the final production model could eventually receive a different name altogether.
