Hero MotoCorp’s electric subsidiary – Vida – has rolled out an extended warranty plan that provides comprehensive coverage for over 11 critical components and an extended battery warranty that offers coverage for 5 years or 60,000km, among other warranty and subscription plans.

  1. Vida assures up to 67.5 percent of the original value with the buyback plan
  2. A subscription plan has been rolled out across its charging stations
  3. Comprehensive warranty covers 11+ critical parts for 5 years or 75,000km

Vida warranty coverage details:

The brand is also offering a battery coverage plan for 5 years.

For starters, the brand is offering a comprehensive extended warranty that will cover 11+ critical parts up to 5 years or 75,000km. In addition to that, Vida is offering extended battery coverage for 5 years or 60,000km that covers owners against battery degradation, performance deterioration and any unexpected battery-related expenses. These extended warranties are above the standard 5-year/50,000km warranty that the scooter comes standard with, taking the total coverage to 10 years.

Addressing one of the major concerns around EV ownership – resale – Vida is offering assured buyback with up to 67.5 percent of the original effective ex-showroom value. The brand has also rolled out a subscription plan that offers bundled connectivity and unlimited fast charging subscription across Vida’s charging network, while also unlocking connectivity features through the mobile app. This subscription also allows owners access to essential information like battery health, locate nearby charging stations and OTA updates.

While these warranty options provide great peace-of-mind to owners, its pricing and transferability conditions are still unknown.

Vida recently rolled out its affordable VX2 range that comes with Battery-as-a-service subscription plan. Priced from Rs 59,940, it comes with 2 battery options – 2.2kWh and 3.4kWh.
