  2. Available to customers who purchased after April 1, 2025

River Indie extended warranty details

Comprehensive coverage for battery and motor components

The 8-year/80,000km extended warranty covers the battery if its State of Health (SOH) drops below 70 percent or if the motor becomes non-functional even after repair attempts. This addresses two of the most expensive components in an EV and provides peace of mind for buyers concerned about long-term reliability and replacement costs.

The programme is priced at Rs 8,399 (+GST) for existing customers who purchased after April 1, 2025. Those who had opted for River’s 5-year extended warranty can upgrade to the new 8-year plan for Rs 3,399 (+GST), but only within a limited one-month window.

Commenting on the announcement, Sachin Patial, service head, said, “We are excited to introduce this extended warranty initiative, which underscores our strong confidence in River’s engineering and product quality. Today’s consumers value long-term trust and dependability, and with this 8-year warranty covering both the battery and motor, we aim to go beyond expectations by reinforcing our promise of durable and dependable mobility solutions.”

Currently, the River Indie remains the only scooter in the Bengaluru-based manufacturer’s portfolio. The company operates in 15 cities but has confirmed plans to expand across all major cities by 2026.
