3. It will feature a redesigned exhaust end-can as well

Tiger 1200 Rally spotted: What’s new?

The Tiger 1200 range should get a host of new active safety features

The Tiger 1200 was launched in India in 2022 with all-new styling and a major overhaul to its mechanicals. Subsequently, it was updated in 2024. Now, a test mule of what is likely an updated Tiger 1200 Rally has been spotted off-roading.

For starters, the Tiger 1200 dons styling similar to the Tiger 900 spotted earlier. It will get an updated front fascia with a mono-projector headlight and a beak that flows more seamlessly into the fuel tank. A new change that should bring a host of added functions is the presence of a radar sensor right above the headlight.

While the current model features a rear-radar system for blind-spot assistance and lane-change warning, the updated model is expected to have forward-facing radar that should introduce adaptive cruise control, similar to the Ducati Multistrada V4. Another change is at the rear, where the current model gets a tail-light similar to the Tiger 900; the updated model moves to a split tail-light setup with the brake lights integrated in the indicators. Another small change is a redesigned exhaust end-can.

The radiator shrouds and the tank seem to be carried over. Even the braking setup appears largely similar to that of the outgoing model.

All in all, this Tiger 1200 seems to be more like a nip-and-tuck job to keep it fresh rather than a full-blown generational update. We expect the changes to centre around the radar-guided functions that should bring a host of active and passive safety features. This upcoming model is expected to be unveiled later this year.
