CFMoto 550MT: Details

The touring-focused model gets a 23-litre fuel tank

The new CFMoto 550MT expands the MT adventure range, building on the success of the 450MT. It’s powered by a new 526cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine delivering 54hp at 8,500rpm and 52Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. Its electronic suite consists of a bi-directional quickshifter, an E-clutch, three riding modes, IMU-based cornering ABS and traction control, a rear radar system and cruise control. An 8-inch TFT display with Apple CarPlay completes the package. The motorcycle’s long-distance capability is supported by a large 23-litre fuel tank and a split-seat setup, which can be adjusted for seat height between 800 and 820mm. Its road-oriented chassis combines 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with KYB suspension. Braking duties are handled by a dual-disc setup at the front and a rear disc.

CFMoto 550MT-X: Details

Features a 21-inch front wheel and a slimmer profile than the 550MT

The 550MT-X is also powered by the same 526cc parallel-twin engine. It weighs 172kg dry and 183kg ready to ride. Its off-road-focused chassis features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, a fully adjustable KYB suspension with 230mm of front and 220mm of rear travel and 250mm of ground clearance. Electronic equipment includes a vertically mounted 6.2-inch TFT display, a bi-directional quickshifter and ride modes, wherein the off-road mode deactivates the traction control and rear-wheel ABS.

CFMoto remains committed to a long-term strategy for India, recognising it as the world’s largest two-wheeler market. But currently, it is only evaluating the possibility of entering it.
