Royal Enfield and Alpinestars, the Italian riding gear giant, have joined hands to launch a new line of riding apparel in India. Under the collaboration, the brands have introduced riding jackets, a pant and gloves that feature CE level protection.

To begin with, the Gravity Drystar riding jacket is designed for all season use and is CE certified to ‘CLASS A’. The jacket can also accommodate the Alpinestars Tech-Air airbag system. It is available in two colours, Black and Khaki, and is priced at Rs 17,500.

Besides this jacket, the Solano 2 Waterproof riding jacket has also been launched at Rs 18,900. It features Alpinestars Nucleon flex pro CE Level 2 armour protection and is also CE certified to ‘CLASS A’. In terms of practicality, the jacket has eight pockets and a detachable, sleeveless thermal liner.

Coming to the pants, the Gravity Drystar riding trousers, at Rs 14,500, are 100 percent waterproof, adaptable to various riding conditions, and said to be breathable as well.

The gloves section comprises three different types. The SMX-1 V2 Air gloves, made of a mix of perforated leather and air mesh, are for riding in the summer. They are CE Level 1 certified and priced at Rs 5,200.

The next ones in line are the Gareth leather gloves, priced at the same point as the SMX-1 Air V2. It features Goat Nappa leather construction but at the same time is waterproof and breathable, benefitting from Alpinestars’ Drystar membrane.

Lastly, the Syncro Drystar gloves also get the Drystar membrane and are 100 percent waterproof and breathable. The palm area is padded and a Viscoelastic knuckle cover offers protection in case of a fall. The gloves are priced at Rs 6,900

All the above mentioned riding gear is available at Royal Enfield’s stores, the brand’s official website, and on Amazon.
