New Hero Vida electric scooters launching on July 1
Hero has shared that it will be launching a new Vida electric scooter in India on 1 July.
  1. Likely to be positioned below Vida V2
  2. Could be based on Vida Z showcased at EICMA 2024

Hero to launch a new E-2 wheeler

Based on the Vida Z, it will be positioned below the Vida V2

Hero launched the updated Vida V2 model line up in December 2024, and it appears that the company is now preparing to release new electric scooters in India. A month back, Hero officials stated in an earnings call that it will launch two affordable electric scooters in July. Now the company has shared an invite for a Vida launch on 1 July

Little is known about these new scooters and whether they will be two different models or variants of the same model. It is expected that the new Vida electric scooter will have a different design theme and this could be similar to the Vida Z showcased at EICMA 2024.

The current Vida V2 range is available in three variants - V2 Pro, V2 Plus and V2 Lite. Each of these has different battery capacities, performance levels and feature sets. The scooters are currently listed on the Vida website at reduced prices from when they were first launched with the Lite costing as little as Rs 74,000 ex-showroom Delhi inclusive of subsidies and dealer discounts.

Whether these new scooters will undercut this already aggressive price remains to be seen, but Hero is clearly trying to reduce the price gap between petrol and electric scooters.
