Motoroyale launched a total of seven motorcycles falling under five of its brands – MV Agusta being one of these brands – and so the latest bike from the Italian company in India is the Brutale 800 RR. The motorcycle has been launched at Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and being the RR, it features significantly more power than the standard Brutale, along with other minor changes.

Powering the RR is a 798cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder motor that makes 140hp at 12,300rpm and 87Nm of torque at 10,100rpm. The standard Brutale, meanwhile, makes 109hp at 11,500rpm and 83Nm of torque at 7,600rpm. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. The claimed top speed for the Brutale RR is also higher, at 244kph, as compared to the standard bike’s 237kph figure.

The Brutale comes equipped with four riding modes – Rain, Normal, Sport and Custom and an eight-level traction control system with switchable and adjustable ABS. The RR uses the same 43mm, fully-adjustable, Marzocchi USD fork and Sachs monoshock. The only difference is that the fork legs on the RR are treated with DLC (diamond-like coating) and are anodised.

Stopping power comes from radially-mounted, twin 320mm floating Brembo brakes at the front and 220mm ones at the rear. The RR has a claimed dry weight of 175kg and a fuel tank capacity of 16.5 litres. The Brutale RR is available in two dual-tone colour schemes in India – Pearl Ice White with Metallic Carbon Black; and Pearl Shock Red with Metallic Carbon Black.

Just this year, the Italian bike manufacturer also launched two limited-edition models of the Brutale RR internationally. They were called the Brutale 800 RR America and the Brutale 800 RR LH44.
