Jawa dual-channel ABS deliveries to start soon

The Jawa and Forty Two were introduced with only a single-channel ABS and deliveries of those bikes began back in March, as per the sequence of bookings that began online on November 15, 2018. Following customer feedback, Jawa also introduced dual-channel ABS variants of the bikes in December 2018. Now, Anupam Thareja, co-founder, Classic Legends, has replied to a customer’s tweet saying that the deliveries of the dual-channel units will begin by the end of the month. Jawa has lived up to its promised deadlines so far, so we can expect to see the dual-channel bikes on the road very soon.

The dual-channel variants of both, the Jawa and the Forty Two are expected to go on sale soon. Both motorcycles are powered a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that produces 27hp and 28Nm of peak torque. The dual-channel ABS Jawa is priced at Rs 1.72 lakh and similarly, the Forty Two is priced at Rs 1.63 lakh. Meanwhile, the single-channel ABS variants are priced at Rs 1.64 lakh for the Jawa while the Forty Two has a price tag of Rs 1.55 lakh – a premium of about Rs 8,000 the dual-channel ABS models over their single-channel ABS counterparts.

Earlier this year, the company also announced a motorcycle exchange program through Mahindra First Choice Wheels that will allow customers to exchange any old bike for a new Jawa.
