Jawa 42 FJ launched at Rs 1.99 lakh

    After the launch of the updated 42 last month, Classic Legends has now introduced a new model called Jawa 42 FJ. This new model is part of the 42 range and costs Rs 26,000 more than the base Jawa 42. Prices for the Jawa 42 FJ range from 1.99 lakh - Rs 2.20 lakh.

    Jawa 42 FJ price, launch details

    The 42 FJ is powered by a  bigger 334cc engine derived from the new Jawa 350 and produces a higher figure of 29.1hp and 29.6Nm. For reference the 350 produces 22.57hp and 28.1Nm. The 42 FJ has a seat height of 790mm, 178mm ground clearance and a weight of 184kg which is 2kg more than the regular Jawa 42. It is also worth noting that the 42 FJ produces 2hp and 3Nm more than the standard Jawa 42.

    In terms of styling the 42 FJ has a similar overall silhouette as the Yezdi Roadster and gets a brushed aluminum finish on the tank cladding and a new LED headlamp. The instrument cluster and switchgear appear to have been borrowed from sister company Yezdi. Additionally, it can be had with either a spoked or alloy wheel setup. The alloy wheels are the same as the ones found on the 42 Bobber. It’s also equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard and no single-channel ABS variant on offer.

    Prices start at Rs 1.99 lakh for the Aurora Green Matte Spoke, Rs 2.10 lakh for Aurora Green Matte Alloy, Rs 2.15 for Mystique Copper and Cosmo Blue Matte. Meanwhile the Deep Black Matte Red Clad and Deep Black Matte Black Clad cost Rs 2.20 lakh. It rivals the likes of the Royal Enfield Classic/Bullet 350, Honda CB350 and Hero Mavrick 440.
