Husqvarna Svartpilen 125: Under the skin

Like the higher-capacity Svartpilen 250, the 125 shares its mechanical components with the KTM 125 Duke. Powering the Husqvarna is the same 125cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 14.5hp and 12Nm of torque. While the KTM uses an underbelly exhaust, the Husqvarna uses a side-slung system similar to the larger capacity models.

Other similarities come in form of a trellis frame, USD fork and preload-adjustable monoshock.

As far as styling is concerned, the Svartpilen 125 is nearly identical to larger Husqvarnas. It also features the same circular LCD instrumentation.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 India launch details

As far as styling is concerned, the Svartpilen 125 is nearly identical to the larger Husqvarnas. It also features the same circular LCD instrumentation. The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 could be launched in India with an ex-showroom price close to that of the KTM 125 Duke (Rs 1.5 lakh ex-showroom). If Bajaj chooses to do so, it could follow a similar path to the 250cc model where it gets alloy wheels instead of spoked wheels and MRF rubber instead of Pirelli tyres.
