Honda Activa electric price Rs 1.17 lakh at Auto Expo 2025, battery, range

After revealing it late last year, Honda has finally announced the prices for the Activa e: at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The electric Activa’s base variant is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh, while the higher RoadSync Duo variant will cost you Rs 1.52 lakh.

  1. Activa e: has 102km claimed IDC range
  2. 80kph claimed top speed, 0-60kph in 7.3s
  3. RoadSync variant is Rs 35,000 more than base variant

Honda Activa electric price, range, charging details

The Indian Activa e: is essentially a dressed-up CUV e: that’s found in Europe. This means you get a pair of swappable 1.5kWh batteries, located under the seat, which can only be recharged at Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: swapping stations. The claimed IDC range is 102km and the batteries send power to a swingarm-mounted motor rated for 6kW and 22Nm. The Activa electric has an 80kph claimed top speed and can manage the 0-60kph sprint in 7.3 seconds.

Since the battery packs are located under the seat, there’s next to no storage space available on the Activa electric. And since you can’t charge it at home and have to rely on Honda’s battery-swapping network to charge it, that’s another hurdle the electric Activa will have to overcome

The Honda Activa e: will be sold through existing Red Wing dealers, with a ‘shop in shop’ concept as part of a phased rollout with Concept Stores opening in some cities soon. Both the Activa e: and QC1 will be manufactured at Honda’s Narsapura plant in Karnataka. There are 83 Honda Power Pack e: battery-swapping stations in Bengaluru, and they are being rolled out in Delhi and Mumbai.

Honda plans to have over 250 stations in Bengaluru by 2026, aiming to have stations within every 5km in the city. Customers will have to pay per swap, and Honda will also sell the Activa e: with a Battery-as-a-Service option.

The Honda Activa electric will lock horns with the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Vida V2, River Indie and Ola S1 models in India. With the miniscule battery-swapping infrastructure in the country currently, it remains to be seen how many people choose the (dependent on that network) Activa e: over other more established offerings that can be charged at home.

The Activa e: will be available in three cities in the first phase with deliveries starting in Bengaluru from February 2025 and in Delhi as well as Mumbai from April 2025 onwards.

All prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru
