Hero has secured a top 10 spot at the Dakar Rally three times in the past. This time, they came back victorious, securing the second spot on the podium in 2024. To commemorate this achievement, they have decided to launch a special Dakar livery for their Xpulse 200 4V.

Based on the Pro variant, the Dakar edition remains mechanically unchanged. The Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar edition gets the same adjustable telescopic front fork with 250mm of travel, along with a rear adjustable mono-shock with 220mm of travel. It even has the same high seat height of 885mm and is equipped with handlebar risers.

Hero updated the Xpulse in the early months of 2023, making it OBD-2 compliant as well as E20-compatible while producing the same 19.1hp and 17.35Nm as before. The update also brought along the addition of three ABS modes: Road, Off-road, and Rally.

The base variant of the Xpulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1.52 lakh, while the Pro variant costs Rs 1.65 lakh. The Dakar Edition is available with an additional Rs 3,000, bringing its effective price to Rs 1.68 lakh.

Hero also recently showcased the Xpulse 210 at the 2024 edition of EICMA. The Xpulse 210 will receive an update in the form of a new liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the Karizma XMR, albeit in a lower state of tune.
