Hero MotorCorp has launched a new design challenge called Hero Colabs. The competition serves as a platform for enthusiasts, design students, professionals and brand fans to showcase their design skills to the world.

The Hero Colabs design competition is split into two challenges. The first challenge requires participants to design graphics for the Hero Splendor+, undoubtedly one of the most popular motorcycles in Hero's portfolio. While Hero does paste its own set of graphics on the production Splendor+, it'll be interesting to see what the participants come up with after tapping into their imagination and skill. After all, coming up with an aesthetically pleasing design on a wide canvas like a motorcycle is not very easy.

The second challenge involves designing a Hero t-shirt or riding jacket. Participants should find it exciting and challenging to come up with designs that portray Hero's brand ethos, its legacy or even its history in motorsport.

The good news is that participants can choose to enter either of the challenges or even both the challenges. Those interested can log onto the official Hero MotoCorp website or the dedicated Hero Colabs microsite to register and submit their work. The last date to submit all entries is April 21, 2020.

After submission, Hero will choose the top 50 designs and upload these on the Hero Colabs microsite. Winners will be chosen based on the number of votes as well as the decision of Hero MotoCorps' internal jury. Participants whose designs are among the top 50 can also upload their design on their personal social media handles to maximise support.

Winners stand a chance to win big, with the grand prize being the Hero Xpulse 200. The first runners-up will get Hero accessories or vouchers worth Rs 10,000. Those in the second runner-up category will each get a pair of Hero smart sunglasses. In addition, 15 special mentions will be awarded vouchers worth Rs 500. There will be separate prizes for both Challenges and the winners will be announced on May 5, 2020.
