The battery-powered two-wheeler sales chart for July saw Hero Electric emerge on top, with 8,953 units finding a home. This marked a major improvement from the 6,503 units they were able to sell in June. Market newbie, Tork, commenced deliveries with 36 units of their Kratos and Kratos-R e-bikes.

This month saw the previous month’s market leader, Okinawa, fall behind Hero Electric, with a sales figure of 8,094 units. This still marked an increase in month-on-month figures for Okinawa, which managed to sell 6,983 units in the previous month. Ampere fell behind not only the aforementioned duo, but also itself, recording lower month-on-month sales figures of 6,313 units, compared to its 6,541 units sales figure of June.

Ola (which recently signed a PLI with the government) and Ather (which launched their updated 450X Gen 3) saw a sharp decline in numbers compared to the previous month, with sales of 3,856 (down from 5,884 in June) and 1,283 units(down from 3,823 units in June), respectively. One thing to bear in mind here is that Ather’s production line was shut for two weeks to facilitate the transition to the newer 450X Gen 3 model.

Pure Energy also saw a decline in month-on-month sales figures, down from 1,125 units in June to 997 units this month. The only electric motorcycle manufacturer on the list, Revolt, also posted a small slump in sales, down from 2,424 units in June to 2,318 units this month. Bounce Infinity was only able to sell 534 units of their E1 scooter, down from 753 new registrations in June.
