Hero MotoCorp has announced a price hike across its motorcycle and scooter range, with the maximum increase in price being Rs 625. The exact ex-showroom hike in prices varies across the range and depends on the specific model and location.

Hero hasn’t yet shared the revised price list yet and its website still displays the old prices, but potential buyers can rest easy knowing that this is not a substantial rise in the price. According to Hero, the jump in price is to partially offset rising input costs, including that of commodities.

Hero has been working on updating its commuter portfolio over the past few years and had launched the Super Splendor and Passion Xpro earlier this year. Hero had also showcased the Maestro Edge 125 and the Duet 125 at the 2018 Auto Expo, but neither of them has been launched yet. The bike maker will soon be making a comeback in the entry-level performance segment by launching the Hero Xtreme 200. Another interesting product from Hero is the Xpulse, which will be launched by late 2018 and will be the most affordable adventure tourer motorcycle in India.
