Along with announcing the price and opening bookings for the LiveWire, Harley-Davidson took to the stage at CES 2019 to showcase two new small electric bike concepts, which are yet to be named. One of them, the company says, is ‘engineered for the city’ and the other is ‘engineered for anywhere’, and now we have videos of both of them in action.

The first video is short but action-filled, it shows X Games (an extreme sports event) gold medallist, Jacko Strong, going hard on the off-road-oriented concept e-bike. Strong can be seen pulling a wheelie on the electric bike while going downhill in the snow. He also adds how the instant torque gives it advantage over combustion-engine-powered motorcycles and went on to express how he would like to ride it in the dirt.

The second video, meanwhile, has X Games host, Jack Mitrani, cruise around town at a much slower pace. Like Strong, Mitrani also appreciates the instant power delivery of the electric bike. He also adds that he is really impressed by how smooth and quiet the bike is. While both bikes are still prototypes, the one Strong had a go on looked more like a finished product. That said, Harley-Davidson will significantly improve the finish levels on the final products.

We believe these two electric bikes will be part of Harley’s more-affordable electric range and won’t break the bank like the high-performance LiveWire that has a starting price in the US of $29,799 (about Rs 21 lakh).
