  2. The higher-spec S variant, which weighs 187 kilos, is 4kg lighter

2025 Ducati Panigale V4: Launch details

Flagship Ducati superbike updated heavily and is pricier now

The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 continues to use the same 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, but this unit is now compliant with the Euro 5+ norms and produces 216hp at 13,500rpm. This peak power figure is up by 0.5hp and is made 500rpm higher than before. Peak torque of 120.9Nm at 11,250rpm is 2.7Nm lower than earlier and is made 1,750rpm higher in the rev range. The engine maintains the same state of tune in both the standard and ‘S’ variants.

In terms of chassis, the front frame remains identical to the outgoing model, but the rear end is all new. After a long hiatus, Ducati has incorporated a conventional swingarm. This 2025 Ducati Panigale is the first Ducati flagship supersport since the iconic 916 to not use a single-sided swingarm. Although it might not seem like it, the entire swingarm-rear wheel assembly on this Panigale V4 is claimed to be 2.7kg lighter than the previous model.

In typical Ducati fashion, the new Panigale V4 only incorporates a fully adjustable Showa suspension, whereas the higher-spec V4 S has Ohlins electronic suspension, which can be adjusted and altered on the go.

The tyres are also new, and the Panigale V4 now rolls on the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 compound. Although, sizes stay the same at 120/70-ZR17 and 200/60-ZR17. Handling braking duties is the all-new Brembo Hypure caliper, which is claimed to be better than the outgoing Stylema at heat dissipation over repeated hard usage.

The electronics suite has also received an update on both variants. It gets a new 6.9-inch TFT dash with Race eCBS. This system monitors the bike’s lean angle, throttle position and rear load, and it applies the rear brake without the need to physically use the rear brake lever.

Besides this addition, the Panigale V4 continues to offer a host of electronics, with the basics like traction control, wheelie control, launch control, a six-axis IMU enabling cornering aids, a bi-directional quickshifter and, of course, ABS. All of these parameters are customisable to a large extent.

The more capable ‘S’ variant differentiates itself by providing even better equipment, such as lighter aluminium wheels, electronic suspension, as mentioned earlier, and a lithium-ion battery. All these changes result in healthy weight savings of 4kg. The ‘S’ variant tips the scale at 187kg, whereas the standard weighs 191kg.

Ducati has also incorporated a new fairing with a different design and claims to have improved wind protection. The winglets have been moved forward but provide the same downforce as before. This new fairing design has also led to a change in the front headlight, and the tail-light has been completely redesigned.

At Rs 30 lakh, the standard 2025 Panigale V4 is Rs 2.27 lakh more expensive than the outgoing Panigale V4. The higher-spec V4 S costs Rs 3.02 lakh more than its predecessor, which retails for Rs 33.48 lakh.
