2021 Harley-Davidson line up to be revealed on January 19

Harley-Davidson will be announcing its new 2021 line-up of motorcycles on January 19. The virtual event will also include the preview of the all-new Pan America 1250 adventure-touring motorcycle.

    • 2021 Harley-Davidson line-up to be revealed on January 19, 2021.

    • Will include the unveiling of Pan America 1250.

    • Custom 1250 to launch later in 2021.

The event on January 19 will be Harley-Davidson’s first virtual launch experience and will also include the unveiling of new parts, accessories and riding gear. The American motorcycle manufacturer has also mentioned in its press release that details of the Pan America will be revealed later, on February 22, 2021.

    Harley Davidson Pan America

The Pan America 1250 was first showcased at EICMA last year, but not too many details were shared. All we know so far is that the all-new bike will feature Harley’s latest engine – the Revolution Max liquid-cooled V-twins – in a 1,250cc guise. Earlier, Harley also stated that the new engines provide “a narrow powertrain profile that is integrated into the motorcycle as a stressed member of the frame to enhance centre of gravity and handling.” The engine also uses a counter-balancer to mitigate engine vibration and aid durability.

Harley has interestingly revealed power figures for this engine. The manufacturer claims that peak power and torque figures will be more than 145hp and 122Nm, respectively.

At the event, Harley-Davidson also announced its new development collaborations with Brembo and Michelin. A product of the former is a radial monoblock four-piston caliper, while Michelin helped design tyres specifically for the bike.

    Harley Davidson Custom 1250

Earlier this year, Harley-Davidson announced that it would be cutting 30 percent of its planned future models. The Custom 1250 was expected to be one of these models as the manufacturer had revealed little on what lay in store for motorcycle. However, that has now changed after the ‘Future Models’ section of the website states that the Custom 1250 is set to debut in 2021. It’s unlikely that it will be a part of the event in the first week of January and an unveil in the second half of the calendar year is expected.

The Custom 1250 is powered by the same liquid-cooled V-twin as the Pan America.
