The Apache RTX is positioned as an adventure tourer and not an outright off-roader. TVS made it clear during the launch event that this bike is designed primarily for tarmac use, with enough versatility to tackle light off-road riding.

The bike is built around an all-new steel trellis frame suspended by a 41mm USD fork and a monoshock at the rear. Suspension travel at both ends is 180mm, while ground clearance stands at 200mm. It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, wrapped in tyres that TVS says have been specially designed for use on this bike.

The TVS Apache RTX is powered by the all-new 299cc RT-XD4 engine, which was first unveiled at MotoSoul 2024. This engine produces 36hp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, making it the manufacturer’s second most powerful bike after the Apache RR 310.

This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a bidirectional quickshifter. TVS also mentions that it has been tuned to deliver linear performance across the rev band with an emphasis on low-end torque.

The TVS Apache RTX will be available in three variants – Base, Top and BTO (Built To Order). The Base variant is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh and gets most of the aforementioned features, including the ride modes and cruise control. For Rs 2.14 lakh, the Top variant adds Class D headlamps with DRLs, the 5-inch TFT cluster and the bidirectional quickshifter. The range-topping BTO variant, at Rs 2.29 lakh, adds adjustable suspension and a TPMS.
