
The FJ is the entry point to the Land Cruiser nameplate, which will launch in Japan in 2026.

Its fascia features a lot of retro-themed elements, including a silver Toyota badge and thick black cladding.

It continues with its rugged design in its profile with flared fenders and a black finish on roof rails and door handles.

Gets a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, LED tail lights and a black bumper that enhances its off-roader appeal.

Gets a part-time 4WD setup and is powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Compared to the Prado, it features a 270mm shorter wheelbase, but a similar ground clearance and departure angle.

Cabin is heavily inspired by the Prado and features a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a digital driver’s display, and a chunky gear lever.

Toyota recently revealed the Land Cruiser FJ, which is the baby avatar of the bigger Land Cruiser model. At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Toyota has now showcased the FJ Cruiser for the first time to the public ahead of its Japan launch in 2026. It shares its platform with the Toyota Fortuner and Hilux, and will be the entry point to the Land Cruiser SUV model in the carmaker’s global lineup. It will get a boxy design and a cabin that looks inspired by the Land Cruiser Prado. The FJ will be powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 163hp and 246Nm.
