Suzuki recently introduced the Burgman 15 in the Colombian market. It is a newly designed scooter with muscular bodywork and 14-inch wheels. Like a few 150cc+ scooters on sale in India, the Burgman 15 is also a proper maxi scooter, featuring an underspine chassis.
The 149cc single cylinder motor pumps out 14.2hp at 8500rpm and 14.2Nm at 6500rpm. These figures are more or less on par with the current 150cc scooters like the Hero Xoom 160, TVS Ntorq 150, and Yamaha Aerox 155 that are sold here in India.
The Burgman 15 also come well equipped with features like a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. You also get keyless ignition, dual-channel ABS, and switchable traction control. The maxi scooter design has also helped in both a large 8 litre tank and a sizable underseat storage. The scooter features a dual disc setup with ABS at both ends. With its muscular bodywork and 14inch wheels, the Burgman 15 does look big and weighs 145kgs.
Although Suzuki has not announced its plans to launch the Burgman 15 in India. It is highly unlikely, as the scooter market in India is largely dominated by the 110 and 125cc space.
