The Kwid is a new Maruti Alto competitor from Renault.

Renault says the Kwid will be priced between Rs 3-4 lakh. Expect a launch around Diwali.

With 180mm of ground clearance, the Kwid is clearly more crossover than hatchback.

Adding to the crossover feel of the Renault Kwid are flared wheel arches and body cladding.

There's a clear resemblance to the Renault Duster, especially from behind.

From some angles, it's hard to tell this is a budget car, thanks to aggressive lines and creases.

The Renault Kwid's serrated grille, big emblem and chunky fog lamp enclosures make it look really macho.

Kwid nameplate sits proud below the Renault logo at the rear.

Renault Kwid interior design may be simple, but there are loads of nice details, like the piano black and chrome centre console.

Renault Kwid's instrument cluster is all digital - simple and good looking.

Air-con controls in the Kwid similar to those in the Duster and Lodgy.

Small cubbyholes behind the gear lever can hold a pair of cups.

First and only car in this segment to get a touchscreen. Has Bluetooth and navigation as well!
