Neither concept is expected to make it to production.

Both concepts have been developed with clothing company Deus ex Machina.

The Machina is inspired by Mini’s racing heritage.

Light pod on the bonnet references the Mini's storied past in rallying.

Rear diffuser inspired by the unit fitted to Mini’s most recent Nürburgring 24 Hours race car.

The Skeg draws on surfing culture.

Front splitter, chunky arch extensions and large rear spoiler give it an aggressive look.

Bodywork is made from fibreglass – and is claimed to cut 15 percent of its 1,725kg kerb weight.

Three-point seatbelts replaced by racing-spec harnesses; rear seats replaced by a strut brace; door cards are removed entirely.

Skeg concept's interior loses the roof lining and rear seats.
