Maruti Suzuki e Vitara interior in pictures

The e Vitara gets an asymmetrical dashboard, with the centre AC vents and controls offset to the left.

Dual 10-inch screens are held within the same single glass pane, but the digital driver's display is set much lower than the touchscreen.

Physical switchgear for the HVAC controls mean they'll be handy to use on the move.

The centre console gets a gloss-black finish which could be prone to dust and finger print marks.

There's nice use of ambient lighting on the door pads; quality of materials feel premium.

The seats come wrapped in part fabric, part leatherette upholstery.

The rear seats slide fore and aft to adjust the space between the rear passenger legroom and cargo volume.

Boot space is tight, ranging between 238-litres and 306-litres.

The e Vitara will be Maruti’s first EV in India and first impressions are that the interior is a big upgrade from any of Maruti’s existing products. The design is contemporary, with a floating dual-screen infotainment and instrumentation console, the shelf-like horizontally stacked dashboard and the floating centre console finished in gloss black. Interesting details are the twin-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, the rectangular AC vents with their brushed silver surrounds, the rotary drive state selector and the part fabric, part leatherette upholstery.
Equipment highlights include dual 10-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, single-zone auto climate control, wireless phone charger, keyless entry, a 360-degree camera, a sunroof, a powered driver’s seat and an Infinity-branded audio system.
