The RS 457 looks and feels like a higher-capacity motorcycle than it is and takes great inspiration from the RS 660. The RS 457 feels bigger than any of its rivals, particularly in the height and width of the fuel tank, which creates the impression of this being a large machine. Seat height is just 800mm which is quite friendly, but the seat is also spacious enough for tall riders to slide back and crouch down at the race track. What isn't spacious are the tank recesses that tend to foul with the rider's knee, this especially can be the case for tall riders. With a segment-first aluminium perimeter frame, the RS 457 packs a pedigree that draws back to the bigger bikes in the Italian company’s line up.The RS 457 is powered by a 457cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 47.6hp and 43.5Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The RS 457 was earlier priced at Rs 4.20 lakh but with the recent GST 2.0 rates coming in to effect, Aprilia has decided to absorb the tax impact by increasing the ex-showroom price to Rs 4.35 lakh, while also offering a bi-directional quickshifter worth Rs 20,000 for free, effectively offsetting the price hike.
