The new i3 is BMW's second Neue Klasse EV model.

This all-electric sedan previews the next-gen BMW 3 Series too.

Sleek LED-lined panels house the headlights and fang-like DRLs.

'2.5-box' proportions harken back to classic BMWs.

Massive 21-inch alloys fill out the wheel wells nicely.

Clean lines, a cliff-faced bootlid, and slim LED tail-lamps characterise the i3's rear end.

17.9-inch touchscreen and Panoramic Vision display take centre stage in the i3's cabin.

Steering wheel flips the script with vertical spokes, and the Panoramic Vision display fulfills instrumentation duties.

Centre tunnel features a rotary drive selector and buttons for the hazard lights, parking brake, etc.

Ambient lighting setup includes cool smeared effect on the dashboard.

Dual-motor powertrain yields 469hp, and WLTP-claimed range stands at 900km.

Up to 400kW DC charging is supported, which enables a 400km range top-up in 10 minutes.

The 2026 BMW i3 has debuted as an all-electric sedan and the second Neue Klasse model, with the first being the 2025 iX3. On the outside, the i3 sports a rakish new design language that blends the simplicity of classic BMWs with new-age touches. The i3's interior leans fully into modernity, though, offering a 17.9-inch touchscreen with a new AI assistant, an edge-to-edge Panoramic Vision display at the far end of the dashboard, Level 2 ADAS, ambient lighting, and more. Based on an 800V platform, the i3 will be available only in '50 xDrive' guise initially, which comprises a dual-motor powertrain developing 469hp and 645Nm. WLTP range stands at a whopping 900km and charging speeds of up to 400kW are supported, allowing for a 400km range top-up in just 10 minutes.
