What are you driving and why?

I have a lot of cars in my garage, but the most special is my 1996 Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W124). I think it’s the best way to get into the world of modern classics.

What’s next on your wish list?

Since the ups and downs of owning a classic give me immense kicks, I’d really like to take on a BMW 7 Series (E32) and restore it.

What's the most fun you’ve had in a car / bike?

Restoring my W124 and driving it down to Mumbai to take part in the 2024 Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally. I drove it non-stop for 1,500km one way, and I don’t think I could have done it in more comfort in any other car.

Your favourite/dream money-no-object car/bike?

It’s the Pagani Huayra. I usually refer to it as art, just as intended by its designer.

Who is your all-time greatest motorsport hero?

Never been an avid motorsport fan, but from whatever little F1 I’ve followed, it would have to be Lewis Hamilton.

Favourite road?

Although I haven’t been yet, I would love to drive my car on the roads in Iceland. Pleasant cold weather and the beautiful scenery, it would be like therapy for me.

What’s on your automotive bucket list?

As I’m mostly into classics now, I would like to own a Jaguar XJ40.

What would you do with your last litre of fuel?

I’d save it for the day my son is old enough to experience the rumble of a real engine, the scent of the fuel and understand where my passion comes from.

What would your ideal 5-car/bike garage be?

Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

Jaguar E-Type roadster

1990 Land Rover Defender

Lexus LX470

BMW 750iL (E32)

What was your first car/bike?

My first car was a 2006 Maruti Suzuki Swift, which was gifted to me by my father on my birthday. I still have it and it still runs, making me feel young and wild!
