    Maruti Suzuki Dzire S-CNG

It is no surprise that the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is loved by India. With its comfortable, large and well-equipped cabin, impeccable driving manners and refined performance, the Dzire is the preferred sedan of over 22 lakh delighted customers. In fact, the sedan has been perched at the top of its category as a best-seller for over 12 years now. Building on this overwhelming customer response, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is now available with S-CNG technology.

As the world pivots towards a greener future, the introduction of S-CNG on the country’s favorite sedan allows the country to take a big step towards green fuel, even as the sedan retains the attributes of great style and excellent performance. Powered by advanced K-series Dual Jet, Dual VVT 1.2L engine, Dzire S-CNG delivers a peak power of 57kW@6000 rpm and an incredible mileage of 31.12 km/kg, making it India’s most fuel-efficient and most powerful CNG sedan*.

Maruti Suzuki has been a pioneer in the country to offer factory-fitted CNG cars and with the launch of the Dzire S-CNG, the company is ushering a new era of efficient mobility. Available in VXI & ZXI variants, the sedan combines premium features that have a touch of class and reflect the customer’s lifestyle with benefits of S-CNG, such as alleviating the worries of rising fuel costs and environment-friendly mobility. Global crude oil prices had already increased since the middle of 2021 and have been rising continuously for most of this year as well, with the Russia-Ukraine crisis expected to have a ripple effect on India’s fuel market.

But with the Dzire S-CNG, customers now get the best of both worlds with low running costs and high fuel efficiency on one hand and on the other, a host of features such as alloy wheels, fog lamps, Smartplay Studio System with navigation and voice command, steering mounted audio and calling controls, engine push start-stop button with smart key, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs and rear AC vent in addition to a lot more.

The premium-sedan feeling, however, does not end with the features. Much like other models in Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG range, the Dzire’s S-CNG technology is factory-fitted and specially calibrated to deliver optimum performance and enhanced drivability. The S-CNG technology is designed for safety, engine durability, convenience, and great mileage from the moment the car leaves the factory floor.

Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG technology, which is now offered on the company’s nine models, is designed to give an added advantage to everyday driving with three key benefits:

    Improved Performance

Maruti Suzuki S-CNG vehicles are equipped with Intelligent Injection system, which enables them to seamlessly communicate with each other to provide an optimum air-fuel ratio during combustion, thereby ensuring better and consistent performance along with high fuel efficiency. They also feature a re-tuned suspension to deliver optimum performance across all kinds of terrains.

    Enhanced Safety

The factory-fitted CNG kit is integrated into the mainframe of the vehicles on the factory floor by expert technicians. The kit has a leak-proof design, a sturdy pipe-line structure made of stainless steel and joints which are corrosion-resistant. What’s more, the wiring harness inside is an integrated system which eliminates any chance of short circuits. Other safety features include a micro-switch which ensures that vehicles do not start during CNG fuel filling process.

    Unmatched Convenience

S-CNG vehicles benefit from an auto-switch feature which helps customers easily switch between CNG and petrol. The vehicles benefit from CNG without compromising on their warranty. Moreover, Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG models have an NGV receptacle, which is a special nozzle that assists in faster and safer CNG refuelling. What further enhances the peace-of-mind factor is that customers can service their S-CNG vehicles at any of the 3,500+ Maruti Suzuki authorized service centers across the country.

The launch of Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG vehicle range is aligned to and complements the Government of India’s vision of reducing oil import and enhancing the share of natural gas in the country’s primary energy mix from 6.2 percent now to 15 percent by 2030. The Government is also working to rapidly increase the CNG fuel pumps network in the country.

With green mobility in focus, Maruti Suzuki has witnessed a 19 percent CAGR increase in its CNG sales in the past five years, which is a testimony to the customers accepting technologically advanced, eco-friendly, and safe S-CNG mobility solutions.
