Over the past few weeks, we’ve gained a fairly clear picture of how the recent GST revisions have impacted the prices of several two-wheelers on sale in India. Even buyers at the more affordable end of the spectrum, with bikes like the TVS Sport and Hero HF Deluxe, stand to save around Rs 5,000.
And as you move up the price range, the GST-led cuts only become more substantial, with some models now costing as much as Rs 68,000 less. Here are five bikes that have seen the biggest price reductions, plus a couple of honourable mentions.
5. TVS Apache RR 310
Price reduced by up to Rs 24,310
TVS’s flagship model, the Apache RR 310, is available in two variants – the base priced at Rs 2.78 lakh and the top-spec quickshifter-equipped one at Rs 2.95 lakh.
With the GST rate falling, prices have dropped by as much as Rs 24,310 to Rs 2.56 lakh and Rs 2.72 lakh, respectively. The company also recently introduced a limited-edition variant to mark 20 years of the Apache line. It features a special black-and-gold colour scheme and a USB charger, and its price has dropped from Rs 3.37 lakh to Rs 3.11 lakh.
4. Zontes 350T Adventure
Price reduced by Rs 25,400
The Zontes 350T Adventure is one of the five bikes from the Chinese manufacturer that Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI) distributes in our market. It is powered by a 348cc single-cylinder engine that makes a claimed 38.8hp and 32.8Nm of torque. Post GST 2.0, its price has dropped significantly from Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 3.00 lakh.
3. Kawasaki Ninja 300
Price reduced by Rs 26,000
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 serves as the entry point into the Japanese manufacturer’s renowned Ninja line-up in India. For 2025, it received three new colour options and a revised headlight setup, launching at Rs 3.43 lakh in May. Following the GST revisions, its price has dropped to Rs 3.17 lakh – a notable reduction of Rs 26,000 that makes it a more accessible choice for entry-level sportbike buyers. Power comes from a 296cc parallel-twin engine producing 39hp at 11,000rpm and 26.1Nm at 10,000rpm.
2. Keeway V302C
Price reduced by Rs 30,000
The Keeway V302C, another one of the models imported and distributed by AARI, is a cruiser powered by a 298cc V-twin engine that produces 29.5hp and 26.5Nm of torque. Even at its earlier price of Rs 4.29 lakh, it was among the most affordable ways to experience a V-twin – second only to its stablemate, the K-Light 250V. Thanks to the recent GST revisions, it’s now a full Rs 30,000 more affordable, with its price down to Rs 3.99 lakh.
1. Kawasaki Versys-X 300
Price reduced by Rs 30,000
The Kawasaki Versys-X 300’s price has fallen from Rs 3.79 lakh to Rs 3.49 lakh, a Rs 30,000 drop, the same as that of the Keeway V302C. But as this reduction represents a greater percentage of the Versys-X 300’s overall price, it earns the top spot on our list. The Versys-X 300 uses the same 296cc parallel-twin engine as the Ninja 300 but in a slightly altered state of tune, producing 40hp at 11,500rpm and 26Nm at 10,000rpm.
Honourable mentions
While the motorcycles listed above represent the biggest price cuts among street-legal bikes, two Kawasaki models have seen even more substantial reductions. However, they don’t make the main list, as they’re off-road competition bikes with limited availability.
Kawasaki KX250
Price reduced by Rs 68,000
The Kawasaki KX250 sits below the KX450 in the manufacturer’s off-road motorcycle line-up in India. It’s seen a massive Rs 68,000 price reduction following the GST cut – from Rs 8.47 lakh to Rs 7.79 lakh.
Kawasaki KX85
Price reduced by Rs 32,000
The smaller KX85, intended to be a youth competition machine, has seen a Rs 32,000 price reduction. It’s now priced at Rs 3.88 lakh, down from Rs 4.20 lakh.
