Until a few years back, quickshifters were not very common on mass-market bikes, and bi-directional quickshifters were typically reserved for expensive, high-performance track machines. However, in recent years, we've seen an influx of bikes from various classes with different utilities featuring bi-directional quickshifters. Today, it’s slowly becoming the norm, with even adventure and naked bikes offering this feature. Here’s a list of 10 most affordable bikes with a bi-directional quickshifter.
10. Kawasaki ZX-4RR
Rs 9.42 lakh

The ZX-4RR is a lower-displacement, inline-4 sportbike with a 14,000rpm redline. This makes a bi-directional quickshifter a natural fit, or rather, an essential feature, given its track-focused intent. The ZX-4RR is the higher-spec version of the ZX-4R, and unlike the latter, it gets this feature as standard. Priced at Rs 9.42 lakh, the ZX-4RR is the most expensive bike on the list, while all other bikes are much kinder on the wallet.
9. KTM 390 Adventure
Rs 3.68 lakh

The KTM 390 Adventure features the LC4c engine, which produces 46hp and 39Nm. Sitting at the top of the KTM 390 Adventure line-up, the spoke-wheel variant comes equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, traction control with cornering aids, and adjustable suspension.
8. KTM 390 Enduro R
Rs 3.39 lakh

The 390 Enduro R marks KTM’s entry into the dual-sport segment in India. Designed for newer riders seeking a capable trail weapon, it also caters to seasoned off-road enthusiasts who can fully harness its 46hp on the trails. While a bi-directional quickshifter might not be essential for off-road riding, KTM has included it anyway.
7. KTM RC 390
Rs 3.23 lakh

The RC is the only model in KTM's 390 portfolio that still uses the older 373cc engine. That said, it still comes with a bi-directional quickshifter, making track days and lap times better
6. KTM 390 Duke
Rs 2.97 lakh

The Duke has been a cornerstone in building the KTM brand and its image in India. The 390 Duke didn’t debut with a bi-directional quickshifter; it was introduced with the second-generation model.
5. TVS Apache RR 310
Rs 2.95 lakh

Taking a break from an otherwise KTM-heavy list, the TVS Apache RR 310 is another feature-loaded faired motorcycle. Although its base variant misses out on this feature, it is available if you shell out Rs 17,000.
4. KTM 390 Adventure X
Rs 2.91 lakh

The Adventure X is a more road-biased and affordable alternative to the spoke-wheel model. It misses out on features like cruise control, traction control, and the six-axis IMU, but retains the bi-directional quickshifter, which works just as well as the one found on the higher-spec 390 Adventure.
3. TVS Apache RTR 310
Rs 2.67 lakh

The RTR 310 is the naked version of the aforementioned RR 310. It too misses out on a bi-directional quickshifter in its base model, and an additional Rs 17,000 will get you this feature.
2. KTM 250 Adventure
Rs 2.60 lakh

This quarter-litre adventure bike from KTM borrows its switchgear, TFT dash and overall design from its elder siblings – the 390 Adventure and Adventure X. However, it also features a bi-directional quickshifter, making it the only motorcycle in its class to offer this feature.
1. KTM 250 Duke
Rs 2.30 lakh

Priced at Rs 2.30 lakh, the 250 Duke is the most affordable bike on this list to offer segment-first features like a TFT dash, ride-by-wire and a bi-directional quickshifter – introduced with its latest-generation update.

Aprilia RS 457, Tuono 457

Both motorcycles are powered by the same 457cc twin-cylinder engine but miss out on this feature as standard. Instead, buyers have to shell out an additional Rs 20,000 (approx) to equip it.
Honda CB750 Hornet, XL750 Transalp

Just like the Aprilia duo, the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp also come equipped with ride-by-wire, but the bi-directional quickshifter is offered only as an accessory. Priced at Rs 8.60 lakh and Rs 11 lakh, respectively, this feature should have been included as standard.
