The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift has been launched at a starting price of Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom. As part of this mid-lifecycle update, Maruti's premium hatchback gets a slightly tweaked exterior, additional features, an upgraded safety suite and a new petrol engine. Here, we take a closer look at the new Baleno's variants and the features offered with each one.
2026 Maruti Baleno: Powertrain options
Maruti has deployed its Z12E 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine to power the new Baleno, and it produces peak outputs of 83hp and 112Nm. Both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT choices are on offer with this engine. As before, a factory-fitted CNG option is also available. In CNG mode, power and torque outputs fall to 70hp and 102Nm, respectively, and gearbox duties are handled by a 5-speed manual unit.
As for fuel efficiency, the carmaker claims 23.80kpl with the manual gearbox, while the AMT returns 24.77kpl. The Baleno CNG has a claimed fuel efficiency of 33.61km/kg.
2026 Maruti Baleno: Exterior colour options
A total of seven exterior colour choices are available with the new Baleno. These include Grandeur grey, Enigmatic Teal Green, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Bluish Black and Nexa Blue. Luxe Beige shade offered with the outgoing version is no longer available.
