I am confused between Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG, Tata Tiago CNG, Tata Punch CNG and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG. Which one would be the better choice, and why?

Pick the Tata Punch CNG; it keeps CNG running costs low while giving you usable boot space with its dual CNG cylinder setup that sits neatly below the boot floor and this frees more luggage room than the others. The Punch CNG also uses a single ECU for the petrol and CNG fuel system, thus unlike other CNG cars which default start in petrol mode, the CNG Punch starts directly on CNG eliminating the need to manually switch over. The 5-star crash rating makes it a reassuring choice here for a first car. It is easy to drive in traffic, rides well on broken roads, and won’t feel out of depth on the odd highway run. If you find the purchase cost a bit higher you can also opt for the Tata Tiago CNG which also has the dual CNG tank setup.

Hi Autocar, I'm planning to buy my first automatic car with an on-road budget of around Rs. 12 lakh, and I'm a bit confused between these options: Honda Amaze ZX CVT, Tata Punch Accomplished+ S AMT, Skoda Kylaq Signature AT The car will mostly be used for a mix of city driving and occasional highway trips. A few things about my usage: I'm a first-time driver, so I want something easy to drive, and that helps me build confidence. Right now, the car will be used occasionally, but the usage could increase over the next few years. My parents will also be driving it sometimes, so ease of driving and comfort are important. Between your picks, the Skoda Kylaq and Honda Amaze are the best bets for your needs. The Amaze CVT is smooth, the car is compact and easy to manoeuvre, and Honda’s reliability and low maintenance costs make it a stress-free ownership experience. It is also a proper automatic gearbox, unlike the AMT in the Punch, which can feel jerky at low speeds.The Kylaq is more fun to drive and has the most premium feeling of the three. The 1.0 TSI engine also offers the most performance, which will be handy on the highway, but will also consume more fuel in the city. Its torque converter automatic is very smooth shifting and makes driving in the city very easy. What also helps is that you sit higher than the Amaze, which will give you a bit more confidence in tight city traffic. The downside is that Skoda’s service network is not as widespread as Honda’s, and upkeep can cost more. As for the variant, the Signature+ AT adds a couple of useful features like a reversing camera and a larger infotainment screen, but it is not worth paying Rs 2 lakh extra over the Signature AT. Between these two, the Amaze ZX CVT is the better fit for your requirements - easy to drive, reliable, comfortable and hassle-free to own.

My wife and I are senior citizens and have both undergone knee replacement surgery. I have seen the Toyota Glanza, and its rear seats seem comfortable to me. I have also considered the Volkswagen Taigun. Both are petrol manual cars and will be driven by a chauffeur. Please give your opinion.

Since your priority is rear-seat comfort and ease of ingress and egress, the Toyota Glanza is the better fit. The rear seat is well cushioned, the floor is relatively flat, there is plenty of room, and the door aperture is generous, making it easier to get in and out. However, the rear seat is on the lower side, which means it isn't quite as easy to get in and out of as a Wagon R. Try getting in and out of the Glanza a few times and see if it bothers you. In terms of ease of ingress and egress, the Tata Punch is the better choice. The doors open wide, the seat is higher so you aren't stepping down, which should be kinder on your knees, and the rear seat itself is comfortable, though not as roomy as the Glanza.The Volkswagen Taigun is a good car, but the ride is firmer. It is also a larger and more powerful car, which does not really add any benefit if it is being chauffeur-driven. You can also consider Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Apart from the badging and some interior trim, it is exactly the same car as the Glanza, but costs nearly a lakh less.

Hello Autocar family, I am planning to buy a new car for me and my grandfather. I already have a Hyundai Santro at home, so this will be my second car. The mandatory requirements are a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and decent mileage. My daily commute is around 30 km, including 20 km on the highway and 10 km in the city. The cars we are considering are the Kia Seltos GTX A, Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7T, Maruti Suzuki Victoris ZXI Plus (O), Hyundai Creta N Line, and Tata Sierra Adventure. I am also open to considering the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. We are both confused and haven't been able to agree on one option. Please help us out, guys!
