Hi, I am a bit confused about whether I should wait for the Maruti Brezza facelift or go ahead and buy the Kia Seltos HTE(O) or the Hyundai Creta E Summer Edition.

Going by your shortlist, you want a bigger family car on a tight budget and are looking at base trims. If you need the car in the next couple of months for mostly city use with some weekend trips, pick the Kia Seltos HTE (O) IVT. It is well equipped and, compared to the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, gives you more back-seat space and boot room.

The Brezza update will be relatively minor, though we expect the 1.5 NA engine to make way for the 1.0 turbo-petrol from the Fronx. Waiting for it only makes sense if you mainly drive in tight city areas and want an easier-to-park car.

Overall, for a near-term purchase and everyday comfort, the Seltos lines up best with what you’re considering.

If u dont care about brand value, interior, smooth automatic gearbox, feel of premium feature like ventilated and electronic seat with auto hold. Good rear seat comfort for long drive due to back seat recline feature. Then go for maruti; it is functional and has improved suspension, do not hope for sturdiness. It is still made like wafer packet, major cost cutting on comfort other than suspension; improved due to colab with toyota.

The Warranty, including Extended Warranty of Hyundai and Kia are suspect. Consider this before buying. Under Extended Warranty, you are forced to Service your car with the company at a minimum cost of 20k for every service +++.

If you opt for extended warranty, that is. They are justified in their terms and condition to not trust third party service. Presently, every car has multiple sensor and electronic, a navie mechanic can tamber or damage it. For ex. Every disel car has issue with dpf overflow, there are sensors to prevent such scenerio. On the other hand maruti is not know from sophisticated engine with smooth gear transmission and so on. They are grounded in their ideology, keep things simple and styrdy.

No, actually u should buy the creta s optional or wait for the new creta that will be larger launching in 2027. If you prefer comfort and reliability always go for creta.

Pick up the Facelifted Taigun Topline 1.0 TSI 8 speed TQ which costs lesser than the Facelifted Kushaq Monte Carlo 1.0 Automatic! Since your usage is very less, fuel efficiency shouldn't be an issue and the car, though has a smaller footprint, has very comfortable space inside! The Taigun will suit your age too! ( I am a Sr Citizen too)

I am planning to purchase a new automatic car and am confused between the Honda Amaze ZX CVT and the Skoda Kylaq Signature Plus AT. My usage will be around 90% city driving, primarily for office commuting between Dwarka, Delhi and my office near IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram (approximately 25 km one way). However, I will not be driving daily, as I often use the Metro as well. The car will also be driven by my 69-year-old father, so ease of driving, comfort, visibility, ingress/egress, and reliability are important considerations. Our previous car was an Alto K10 Manual, so this will be our first automatic car and a significant upgrade. Considering my usage pattern, family profile and the fact that we intend to keep the car for a long period for around 10 years, which of these two would you recommend?

Based on your requirement, we would recommend the Honda Amaze ZX CVT over the Skoda Kylaq Signature+ AT. The reason is that your priorities are not outright performance or driving excitement. You are looking for a car that will spend 90% of its life in city traffic, will also be driven by your 69-year-old father, and is expected to stay with the family for around 10 years. In that context, Amaze's strengths line up perfectly with your requirements. The CVT is smoother than the Kylaq's torque converter automatic in stop-and-go traffic, visibility is excellent, the car is easy to place on the road, ingress and egress are straightforward, and Honda's long-term reliability record is hard to fault. Coming from an Alto K10, it will already feel like a substantial upgrade in comfort, refinement and features. The Kylaq Signature Plus AT is the more desirable car from an enthusiast's perspective. The 1.0 TSI turbo petrol has more punch, the higher seating position is nice, and the overall package feels more substantial. However, it is also a larger vehicle to manoeuvre, and while the automatic is good, it is not quite as seamless in everyday traffic as Honda's CVT.Another point in Amaze's favour is that the ZX variant gets Honda Sensing ADAS, which adds useful safety features without making the car complicated to operate. Since your father will also be driving it, that extra layer of safety is a nice bonus.
