My 80 to 90 percent running is in the city. I want an automatic car, and I am confused between the Maruti Brezza AT, Honda Amaze CVT, and Hyundai Venue DCT.

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza AT will be the best pick for your usage. The Brezza’s smooth engine and automatic gearbox are well-suited to city use, and what also strengthens the Brezza’s case is its comfortable low-speed ride.
Do note, the Brezza feels out of its comfort zone on highways where the engine feels lazy, and the gearbox comes across as slow. A Hyundai Venue DCT is more well-rounded in that sense, with punchier performance than a Brezza.
The Honda Amaze CVT also makes a good pick for the city, though it's down on space compared to both compact SUV alternatives.

Firstly you decide whether you want compact sedan or compact SUV. If you want sedan then honda Amaze if SUV then honda cvt v model will be the best choice. 2ndly brezza and 3rdly venue. Best mileage brezza, value for money in all aspects honda elevate

I am planning to sell my Mahindra XUV500 as it is nearing the end of its registration validity in Delhi NCR, and I want to buy a 5-seater SUV under ₹10 lakh. My preference is for a fuel-efficient car as my daily running is around 100 km, but it should also be spacious enough for five people. Since fuel efficiency is a priority, I am open to both CNG and diesel cars. My usage will be 70% city and 30% highway, mostly within Delhi NCR. I have narrowed my choices to the Maruti Brezza CNG, Tata Nexon CNG, Kia Sonet Diesel, and Maruti Fronx CNG. Please help me evaluate which would be the better option. I am also open to any other better option if available.

The Maruti Brezza CNG and Fronx CNG will be more fuel efficient than the Nexon iCNG, and their clutch and gearbox make them friendlier to drive, too. The Brezza is due for a facelift in the coming weeks, so you might want to wait for that to arrive. The Kia Sonet diesel will feel punchier to drive (than the CNG options listed above), while being very efficient too. Also, by opting for a diesel, you won't need to wait in long queues to refill CNG. Even the Sonet is due for a generation update, which is likely to be launched this year. Another option you could consider is the Mahindra XUV 3XO diesel MX2, which is more spacious than a Sonet. Its ride-handling balance is very impressive; the Sonet, however, has an edge in terms of fuel efficiency.

I am planning to buy a compact SUV with a diesel automatic gearbox, and my budget is around ₹12-14 lakh on-road. I usually prefer buying the variant just above the base model for better value rather than going for the top variant. My shortlisted options are the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. While my priority is value for money, my child insists that the car should have a sunroof. Which car would you recommend ?

Considering your requirements, the Hyundai Venue in HX5 trim would suit your needs the best. The HX5 variant offers good value for money with the necessary features and even a sunroof. The Venue is the newest car in the segment and feels modern and up to date. The cabin is well-appointed, the quality of materials is a lot better, and overall, it impresses with its ease of use.The diesel engine is refined and frugal and unlike most of the competition, it gets a torque converter automatic gearbox instead of an AMT, which is nicer to perform and smoother too. The Venue HX5 with the diesel-auto combination would be our recommendation.

My 80% running is in the city, approximately 60 km daily. I want a smooth gearbox, a smooth engine and reliability. I am confused between the Maruti Brezza petrol manual and the Hyundai Creta petrol manual.

The Maruti Brezza and the Hyundai Creta are both quite good in terms of refinement. The Hyundai Creta is more spacious, has a better-quality interior, and is more comfortable, and since you travel mostly in the city, the CVT automatic gearbox will be a better fit for you. It is responsive, smooth and well-suited to traffic, making it effortless in the city. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a bit smaller in size, especially on the inside, does not have the build and interior quality that the Creta gets, and the automatic gearbox isn't as smooth as the Creta's CVT. If you most definitely want a manual gearbox, the Creta is still the better choice as you get a more powerful engine and a better package overall.
