I am looking to buy an SUV towards the end of this year and within a budget of Rs 13-15 lakh. Is there a new version of the XUV500 coming in soon and is it worth waiting for? Which other comparable SUVs can I consider? Fuel efficiency and ride quality are priority.

AAA The refreshed version of the Mahindra XUV500 has launched recently so it’s unlikely that we will see a new version soon. The XUV500 has great value and offers a lot for the money in terms of comfort, performance, as well as a third row of seats. If these factors are important to you then it’s worth considering. However, if you don’t need the extra row of seats and can do with a smaller cabin, the latest Hyundai Creta is a good choice.
