Khatri to race in British Talent Cup, Honda India Talent Cup

Khatri started racing competitively at the age of six. In fact, we’d caught up with him at the very beginning of his motorsport journey and even back then, he had his heart set on MotoGP.

Since then, Khatri has gone on to represent India at the 2016 Dubai Motocross and later won the 2022 Honda India Talent Cup title in the CBR150R class. He graduated to racing on Honda’s Moto3-spec NSF250R last year and was even a part of Honda India’s roster for the Thailand Talent Cup, where he became the youngest Indian to score points.

Taking the next step towards his MotoGP aspirations, Khatri will now race in the British Talent Cup this year. Alongside this, he’ll also continue racing in the Honda India Talent Cup, which runs as part of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.

British Talent Cup – Road to MotoGP

The British Talent Cup is a one-spec series running the Honda NSF250R – a bike on which Khatri already has some experience. The participants need to be aged between 14 and 17.

The series features a total of eight rounds across Europe, with the Silverstone round running as a support event for the MotoGP race. As part of the ‘Road to MotoGP’ ladder, those who impress in the British Talent Cup earn the chance to compete in either the European Talent Cup, Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup or the FIM JuniorGP World Championship.
