Red Bull Racing has revealed its new livery for the upcoming 2026 F1 season. However, fans will have to wait longer to see the actual RB22 since the car shown at the reveal event was a show car, simply showing the team’s new colour scheme.

2026 will usher in a major rules overhaul, including new power units with a near 50-50 power split between petrol and electric, active aerodynamics, sustainable fuel blends, and more. This will also mark Red Bull’s first season as a power unit manufacturer, for which it has teamed up with Ford.

Red Bull returns to sporting a gloss finish, first seen during its F1 debut in 2005. The livery now also features a lot more of Ford’s trademark blue shade.

The car shown at the reveal event appeared to be the same Memento-built showcar that F1 recently showcased as well. However, Red Bull also released renders that showed a different take on the 2026 rules. The real RB22, though, will only make its debut at the private Barcelona pre-season test later this month.

“This is a new and significant era for the sport as a whole and for us as a team. We wanted our livery to reflect this while also giving a nod to Red Bull Racing’s beginnings,” said Red Bull F1 team principal Laurent Mekies.

“This livery is designed to celebrate the spirit of our early days and to be the most eye-catching on the grid. In the year that an Oracle Red Bull Racing car will run a Red Bull Ford Powertrains PU for the first time, it felt only right to reflect some of our history in our livery.”

Max Verstappen will race with a new number this year since reigning F1 champion Lando Norris has taken the number 1. Instead of his previous number 33, Verstappen will now use Daniel Ricciardo’s number 3. He’ll be joined by Isack Hadjar, who steps up to the main team after a season with Racing Bulls.

Racing Bulls, meanwhile, sticks to its all-white livery, although the team has added some more blue accents to reflect its powertrain partnership with Ford. Liam Lawson will continue driving for the team, and he’ll be joined by rookie Arvid Lindblad.

The 2026 F1 season will officially get underway with the Australian GP on March 6-8.
