MotoGP Austrian GP schedule

MotoGP is back! With the summer break now over, the 2025 MotoGP championship resumes action at Austria’s Red Bull Ring circuit. Will Marc Marquez pick up where he left off and extend his winning streak, or will his Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia deliver another Austrian GP win?

Here is your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India:

Marc Marquez has reigned supreme in the first half of the season. The Spaniard headed into the summer break with a 120-point lead and even made history as the first-ever Ducati rider to win five races in a row. But he is yet to conquer the Red Bull Ring. In fact, his last podium at the track came all the way back in 2019.

Austria has been a traditionally strong venue for Bagnaia, though. The Italian has won the last three editions of the Austrian GP and will be chasing his second win of the season this weekend.

Somkiat Chantra will have to skip this race and the next one in Hungary after not clearing medical evaluations. The LCR Honda rider suffered a right knee injury while training after the Dutch GP and was forced to miss the German GP and Czech GP as well. As a result, Johann Zarco will be the sole LCR Honda rider on the grid at Austria.

The new stability control system also debuts this weekend. Introduced to improve safety further, this system decreases engine torque if the bike slides, thereby reducing the slide. It’s slightly different from traction control, which reacts to the tyre spinning instead.

Where to watch:

All MotoGP Austrian GP sessions will be streamed live on Fancode. Fans in India can also catch the live TV broadcast on Eurosport.
