The 2025 edition of the Indian Racing Festival gets underway at Coimbatore’s Kari Motor Speedway this weekend, August 16-17. Racing will be spread across three series – the franchise-based Indian Racing League, the FIA-certified F4 Indian championship and the LGB F4 category of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship.
Here’s our ultimate guide to all the teams, drivers, calendar, where to watch the races, and more:
2025 Indian Racing League
Indian Racing League car, format
Six city-based teams are competing in the Indian Racing League this year, with some prominent team owners including Sourav Ganguly, John Abraham, Kichcha Sudeepa, and more. Each team will field four drivers, which must include a mix of international and Indian talent, as well as one female racer. It’s two cars per team, which means two racers will share the same car over the weekend.
Along with points for finishing in the top 10, drivers can also earn extra points for pole position and for setting the fastest lap in the race.

2025 F4 India
F4 India car, format
F4 represents the first step on the single-seater racing ladder and, importantly, awards Super Licence points (which are required to qualify for F1). With participation fees significantly lower than other European F4 championships, the Indian version of the championship continues to attract several international racers. This also gives Indian drivers the chance to learn from and compete against international-level talent.
The grid features 15 drivers this year, and they’ll be competing with the latest-gen Mygale F4 car, which is also used in the French F4 championship. It’s powered by an Alpine 1.3-litre turbocharged engine. Power ranges from 160hp to 180hp as per the FIA’s regulatory power-weight formula.
