Lando Norris cruised to victory last time out at the Mexico GP, retaking the 2025 F1 championship lead in the process. But his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri is just a point behind. A resurgent Max Verstappen now also sits 36 points behind Norris in the standings.

As we reach the tail-end of the season, the Brazil GP could prove crucial to shaping the championship picture. Moreover, it’s a sprint round, which means there are eight more points on offer this weekend. Further shaking things up, the weather forecast shows that there is a chance of rain on Saturday.

MotoGP Portuguese GP schedule

MotoGP heads to Portimao for the penultimate round of the 2025 season. The top two positions are already wrapped up, with Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez making MotoGP history as the first siblings to become champion and runner-up. But third place still needs to be decided, with Marco Bezzecchi, Francesco Bagnaia and Pedro Acosta all in contention. Bagnaia is only five points behind Bezzecchi, while Acosta is a further 26 points behind.

2025 WorldSBK runner-up Nicolo Bulega will also make his MotoGP debut this weekend, replacing Marc Marquez, as he continues recovering from the shoulder injury he sustained at the Indonesian GP.

WEC 8 Hours of Bahrain

Ferrari, Porsche and Cadillac are all in the hunt for the World Endurance Championship (WEC) title. And we’ll finally see a winner crowned at the 8 Hours of Bahrain this weekend.

Despite its recent slump, Ferrari leads the way, holding a 39-point advantage over Porsche in the manufacturers’ standings. Cadillac is third overall, 61 points off the lead. It’s two Ferrari cars in contention for the drivers’ title as well – The factory No. 51 crew (Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi and James Calado) currently lead, just 13 points ahead of the privately-entered No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari (Robert Kubica, Philip Hanson and Yifei Ye).

WEC 8 Hours of Bahrain: Where to watch?
