Mahindra XUV700 diesel sales

The Mahindra XUV700 SUV crossed the 2,50,000 sales mark in January 2025 – within 3.5 years since its launch. Interestingly, diesel has been the preferred fuel choice among the buyers of this Mahindra SUV despite stricter emission norms and the government’s 10-year rule for diesel vehicles in the Delhi-NCR. So far in FY2025, 75 percent of the XUV700s sold had a diesel engine, with petrol accounting for the rest.

  1. In first 10 months of FY2025, 59,073 units of diesel XUV700s were sold
  2. For the petrol versions, the tally stands at 19,690 units in the same period

In fact, the last 50,000 units of the XUV700 were sold in the six months between August 2024 and January 2025. After the SUV’s August 2021 debut, it had taken a year to reach the 50,000 units mark due to limited production capacity. Currently, almost all XUV 700 variants command a one-month waiting period.
