Volvo has revealed the S60 Cross Country. As the name suggests, the S60 sedan has been given a beefed-up persona by the Swedish manufacturer. The S60 Cross Country is expected to make its global debut at the upcoming Detroit motor show.
The S60 Cross Country is not only visually jacked-up, but it also comes with all-wheel drive and raised ride height to allow buyers the choice of a four-door sedan body style and yet give them the freedom for occasional off-roading.
Upon launch in international markets, the S60 Cross Country will be available with both options – front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. The front-wheel-drive model gets a 187bhp 2.0-litre D4 diesel engine, while the all-wheel-drive version will be available with a five-cylinder 2.4-litre D4 engine that makes 178bhp. Ride height has been increased by 65mm over the standard sedan. Other official figures and specifications are awaited.
