Volkswagen has added special editions of the Polo, Vento and Ameo to its line-up. Collectively known as the Crest Collection, the package adds cosmetic changes to the models, along with the introduction of kit previously not offered on the trim levels.

The package adds in details to the exterior such as black side foils, matte black roof and the Wolfsburg crest on the C-pillar. The crest was first seen on the original Beetle which was manufactured in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1945. The Polo and Vento additionally get a black rear spoiler. The special editions can only be optioned with a white exterior paint shade.

Inside, apart from the features carried over from the standard car, the special-edition models get the addition of leather seat covers embossed with the Wolfsburg crest, a black-finished front centre armrest with storage, new floor mats and detachable sunblinds. The cars remain mechanically unchanged.

The Crest Collection package is available across all variants of the new Ameo, the Comfortline and Highline trims of the Polo, and the top Highline trim of the Vento.

The kit can be included for an extra Rs 3,000 for the Vento and Rs 16,000 for the Polo. The Trendline and Comfortline trims of the Ameo can be equipped with the package for Rs 25,000, while on the top-spec Highline trim it costs Rs 21,000.

Earlier this month, Volkswagen had announced the inclusion of dual airbags and ABS as standard across its range, with the base Trendline trim of the Polo and Vento being the latest to get ABS.
