Volkswagen India has announced special service offers for the Ameo owners. The offers comprise two packages – Volkswagen care and Volkswagen care plus. Both packages are available in the range of Rs 35,400 and Rs 52,000 respectively with prices varying from city to city.
Car owners can avail a range of benefits on aftersales services. Both packages include an extended warranty, a 'service value pack' and roadside-assistance facilities. The basket also includes complimentary inspections that can be customised as per owner preferences. For instance the packages includes a free inspection between the second and third services, extended warranty, 24x7 support across India, along with other benefits. The offers are available across all Volkswagen dealerships in India.
The Ameo only comes with a standard warranty for 2 years. The standalone extended warranties can now also be availed at prices of around Rs 6,600 and for 1 year and around Rs 11,200 for 2 years as well. Similarly, other facilities can also be purchased independently at stand-alone prices.
VW India had launched its first compact sedan, the Ameo, in India last month. The ex-showroom price for the Ameo compact sedan in Mumbai ranges from Rs 5.14 lakh to Rs 6.98 lakh. The Ameo has been introduced with Volkswagen’s 1.2-litre petrol engine that also powers the Polo, and comes with a 1.5-litre diesel engine along with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox later this year. All three variants of the Ameo – Trendline, Comfortline and Highline – come equipped with ABS and dual front airbags as standard.
